As a veteran mom I'm very familiar with the stress of finding the right medicine for my sickies. Having raised 4 children through flu's, fevers, bumps and colds I've come to rely on a few brand names. Tylenol being one of them.
In preparation for the upcoming cold and flu seasons Tylenol is improving the safety and convenience of their Infant and Childrens Tylenol.
These new improvements will include:
Further reduce risk of children getting into medicine
Better dosing accuracy and ease of administration to your child
Allow for better control when dispensing the medicine and reducing spillage.
In addition to these changes, there will also be a change in concentration in the infants formula.
Some important issuses to be aware of:
There may be a time period when both old concentration and new concentration are available.
Always follow the dosage instructions on the bottle and direct dosage questions and concerns to your family doctor or pediatrician.
Great tips to remember next time you have a sickie in the house: NURSE!
N.. Never give adult medicines to children.
U.. Use the measuring device (syringe, dropper, dosage cup) that comes with the medicine every time you use it. Don’t use kitchen spoons such as teaspoons or tablespoons.
R.. Read and follow instructions on the label. Never give more than the recommended dose and do not give the medication more frequently than recommended.
S.. Store all medicines out of the reach of children. Immediately following use, always restore the child resistant cap and put the medicine back into a high and out of sight location.
E.. Every child grows. Know the infant’s or child’s weight and/or age to help determine the appropriate dosage.
Important: Never use adult medicines for children
I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Tylenol and received a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate
